18 percent of Boomers expected to develop Alzheimer's

A new report estimates that roughly 14 million Baby Boomers will develop Alzheimer's disease in their lifetime. This number, which translates into one in eight Boomers, will place enormous stress on families and the nation's healthcare industry, experts say. But researchers stress that medications that 'make a dent' in the disease's progression could save caregivers and the healthcare system billions.
