Surgical errors are sadly common. Among this year's mistakes, Minnesota doctors removed the healthy kidney of a cancer patient while leaving the diseased one behind, and an experienced surgeon in Boston operated on the wrong side of a patient. But CNN reporter Elizabeth Cohen says there are ways to help reduce surgical error risk.
