ACE inhibitors such as Norvasc may fight lung cancer
New animal studies have shown that some blood-pressure meds may
also shrink lung tumors. The class of hypertension meds known as
angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors work by boosting
levels of a hormone in the body. Researchers found that boosting
this hormone's level in mice shrank their lung-cancer tumors by 30
percent.
