Allergic reaction to meds can be serious

According to experts, 5 to 10 percent of adverse reactions to medications come from medication allergies. These reactions can be life-threatening if left untreated. While any medication can trigger an allergic reaction, there are a few that are associated with higher risks. These include antibiotics, anticonvulsants, hormones such as insulin, and biotechnology-produced proteins such as the cancer med Herceptin.
