Allergy shots are effective treatment for symptoms

If you have allergic asthma, rhinitis, conjunctivitis, or pet dander allergies you may be the perfect candidate for allergy shots. According to the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, people should consider allergy shot treatment if they have a clear allergic response to a specific allergen (such as mold or pet dander), or if they have allergies most of the year. The shots work by exposing the body to small amounts of allergen. Over time, the body develops a tolerance to the substance, which results in fewer allergy symptoms.  Read full story >
