Analysis: Asthma patients can cut dose

Some experts say mild asthma sufferers can cut down their dose of corticosteroid medications and still control asthma symptoms. A study involving 500 patients found that those who switched from a twice-daily dose of Flovent or Advair to a once-daily dose of Singulair had approximately the same number of asthma-free days with less medication. Experts say this may help prevent side effects associated with corticosteroid use.
