Asthma prevents many from living a full life

A recent survey found that two thirds of asthmatics believe their condition prevents them from living a full life. The report--released to coincide with World Asthma Day--listed exercise and sleep problems as two of the most common ways asthma affected patients' lives. One third of patients also reported that they lived in fear of having an asthma attack. The survey also suggested that many of the respondents had the appropriate medications, but they did not take them in the ways prescribed to control symptoms.
