Cherries may ease arthritis

Scientists say anthocyanins--which also give cherries their red color--that are responsible for this anti-inflammatory effect. Other studies also suggest antioxidant-rich foods such as cherries may help reduce levels of nitric oxide, a compound associated with both types of arthritis.
