Drugmaker reports 4 additional deaths linked to Byetta

Drugmaker Amylin Pharmaceuticals says there have been four deaths from their diabetes med Byetta in addition to the two reported by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) last week. These four deaths did involve cases of pancreatitis, but not the necrotizing form of the disease, the drugmaker reported, which is why they were missed in the FDA report. Read full story >
