Experimental med eases Alzheimer's symptoms

A British clinical trial has found that 800 mg of the experimental drug tarenflurbil may slow memory loss in Alzheimer's patients. Researchers say the medication reduces 42-amino-acid peptide, an enzyme that may contribute to brain function decline. The positive results are enough to warrant Phase III clinical trials on the drug, experts say.
