Experimental med targets ADHD, smoking

A new medication designed to treat adults with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder is showing good results in recent trials. In the Phase II trial, 221 adult ADHD patients took the experimental medication for four weeks. The medication significantly reduced ADHD symptoms and was reported to be safe and well tolerated. According to the manufacturer, the drug also may help people stop smoking.
