Generic Maxalt gets tentative OK

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has granted tentative approval for Teva Pharmaceuticals' generic form of the migraine medicine Maxalt. Final approval of the generic, rizatriptan benzoate, is anticipated upon expiration of patent protection for the brand name drug in June 2012.
