Lack of sleep linked to metabolic syndrome

Two new studies have shown a connection between not getting enough sleep and developing metabolic syndrome. Getting less than six hours of sleep per night was found to raise the risk of several health problems, including high cholesterol, increased blood pressure, a large waist measurement, and problems controlling blood sugar levels. The syndrome is an early warning of diabetes and heart disease.
