New pain patch helps sprains, strains

Drugmaker Alpharma is reporting that its new Flector pain patch was found safe and effective in new trials. Flector is a prescription anti-inflammatory patch approved to treat pain from sprains, strains, and contusions. In three separate studies, the Flector patch was found effective at treating acute pain at the site of the injury. Its active ingredient, diclofenac, is one of the most widely used non-steroidal anti-inflammatory pain meds in the world.
