Study: New RA meds offer same relief

A analysis of previous studies has found that Humira, Remicade, and Enbrel are all equally effective at treating rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The three drugs, which are all in the new tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-alpha blocker class. But the study, which included more than 7,000 RA patients, also suggested that it is generally best to start with an older drug like methotrexate and then add the newer drugs if patients don't respond well to this standard treatment.
