PillCam may aid children with IBD

diagnose children who suffer from inflammatory bowel disease. The
study found that 71 percent of the pediatric patients who had been
diagnosed with indeterminant colitis or ulcerative colitis before
undergoing endoscopy were actually found to have Crohn's disease.
Similarly, 62 percent of the children who had been previously
diagnosed with Crohn's were found to have more extensive small
bowel disease than had been identified.
