Q&A: Cimzia and Crohn's disease
In April 2008 the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved Cimzia
for use by patients with Crohn's disease, but one patient wants to
know more about this drug before switching. Doctor Michael Picco, a
gastroenterologist from the Mayo Clinic, answers her question by
giving her information on the way this tumor necrosis factor (TNF)
drug works. He also details some of the benefits and side effects
that may come with the use of Cimzia.
