Radiation may help when prostate cancer returns
Men whose prostate cancer returns after surgery are three times as
likely to survive the disease if they undergo radiation, a new
study suggests. Researchers at Johns Hopkins studied 635 men and
found that the risk of death for those who underwent radiation
within two years of the cancer recurrence dropped by 60 percent
compared to the men who "waited and watched" to see how the disease
developed.
