Study: Focalin works faster than Concerta

A small study suggests that extended-release Focalin eases the symptoms of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder more quickly than extended-release Concerta. Focalin XR demonstrated better symptom control versus Concerta starting at 30 minutes after the children took the medication and lasting up to six hours. One researcher said that extended-release Focalin may be better for children who need their medication to begin working before they leave for school and continue working throughout the day.
