Many consumers have switched from Bextra, Celebrex, and Vioxx to over-the-counter alternatives. But medications such as acetaminophen, aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen are not without their own dangers, especially when consumers ignore dosing instructions. This article reviews some of the problems--such as gastrointestinal bleeding, liver damage--that can result.
