Blood-pressure drugs reduce risk of Alzheimer's

Blood-pressure medications--diuretics in particular--may reduce the risk of Alzheimer's disease by ensuring adequate levels of potassium, according to a study published in the Archives of Neurology. Although high blood pressure itself is believed to raise the risk of Alzheimer's, the research indicates that antihypertension drugs may provide additional benefits.
