Actemra may protect joints from RA

According to a new study, the drug Actemra may significantly reduce joint damage in people with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Researchers gave RA patients either a combination of Actemra and methotrexate or methotrexate alone. After one year, the patients who'd received Actemra had significantly less joint damage and were better able to perform daily tasks than people in the methotrexate group.
